There are several underwater archaeology programs in the US. I can think of Texas A&M and Florida State University. Plan on getting a PhD in these cases if you want to pursue it all the way.
Here’s another link to a list of programs:
Marine Biology is one. Oceanography is another, and might be more to your liking. Underwater Archeology sounds fun. You could become a Geologist specializing in underwater phenomena, but that’s not going to be that Scuba intensive while in college.
Hi. To be a Scuba Instructor for instructing sports divers you don’t need to study it at college.
You can just learn to dive in your own time with a PADI school near you (or go on vacation and take a course there).
Once you’ve been diving for a while, you can become a PADI Divemaster, and then a PADI instructor. These qualifications are what’s needed to teach sports divers.
I would say that this is something you can do while studying whatever you like at college. By the time you finish college you could be an Instructor, and also have a degree in something else, in case you decide that Scuba Instruction isn’t for you.
